AI DJ Mode Bug: Queued Podcast/Local Track Repeats Previous Song

AI DJ Mode Bug: Queued Podcast/Local Track Repeats Previous Song

Hi Spotify Team,

I'm writing to report an issue I've consistently encountered when using AI DJ mode. While I appreciate the recent addition of the ability to queue tracks within this mode (it's a fantastic feature!), there seems to be a bug that causes unexpected behavior after a queued track finishes playing.

The problem occurs when I queue a podcast episode or a local track stored on my device during an active AI DJ session. After the queued podcast or local track finishes playing, the AI DJ doesn't resume its generated playlist as expected. Instead, it repeats the last track played by the AI DJ before the queued item.

This disrupts the listening experience and requires manual intervention to get the AI DJ back on track.

Steps to Reproduce:
* Start AI DJ mode.
* Allow the AI DJ to play at least one or two songs.
* Queue a podcast episode or a local track from your library.
* Let the queued podcast/local track play to completion.

Expected Behavior:
After the queued track finishes, the AI DJ should seamlessly resume playing new, algorithm-generated content.

Observed Behavior:
After the queued track finishes, the AI DJ plays the song that was immediately before the queued track.

Device Information:
* Plan: Premium
* Country: Philippines
* Device: realme 9 Pro+ RMX3393
* Operating System: Android 14
* Spotify App Version: 9.0.50.416

I hope this detailed report helps you investigate and resolve this issue. Thanks for all your hard work on Spotify!

Hey @tradcathjun,

Thanks for your report and for your kind words!

Before we forward this to our tech team, can you confirm you've tried some basic troubleshooting steps like logging out and back in and clean reinstalling the app

If you have the option to test this with another device or account, that would help us narrow down the root cause of the issue.

We'll be on the lookout for your response.
