Android App slow after start

After starting up the Spotify app on Android, I have to wait a minute or so until it's functional. Search does not work (Hoppla, da ist wohl was schief gelaufen), I cannot access my library, and everything is very slow. After a minute, it works as quickly as expected... but if I start the app, I don't want to wait that minute! I have a Samsung S5, latest Android, and Spotify Premium.

What can I do?
