Android Auto doesn't work when Spotify is in offline mode

My Question or Issue

I am using Android Auto in combination with Spotify. Since the last update I am not able to manage Spotify with A.A. when Spotify is in offline mode. When using my phone it works fine.

This problem is mentioned before but seems to be reintroduced.

Could you confirm if you're still experiencing the issue? If so, please reinstall Spotify and Android Auto.

This issue is still not solved. Android auto shows "spotify is offline" in my car's display. Using my phone I can play offline albums and using this approach this album is also shown in the display??

Anyone looking into this?

Same here. Offline Spotify albums are shown but do not play with Android auto. Google play music works fine. It's not the first time a Spotify update causes problems.
