[Android][Other] Adaptable color for Android new widget

Hey! In light of the Android 12 launch and the revamp of widgets on the new OS version, Spotify renovated its widget on the A/B version of the main app bringing an adaptable color for the widget, just like we see in the playback shortcut in the app. A few weeks after, the adaptable color was suppressed in the widget and now, regardless of the song playing, the widget is always on a kind of cyan color. My suggestion is that Spotify brings back the adaptable color for the widget as we already see in the app with the playback window and lyrics box.

Thanks for the Idea submission.

As this feature is dependent on the Android ROM you have on your phone, it is out of our reach to change. On some phones this widget will change color, on others it won't.

The Lyrics screen is in the app itself, while the widget is on the lock screen and external to the app.
