My Question or Issue

 

My Spotify app closes randomly.  Why, I'm not sure.  I'll be listening to music for about 15 mins, then all of a sudden....the app will force close.  Here because Spotify doesn't have tech support like any other normal company.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with listening to music, but no worries - help's here 🙂

 

In this case, could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and your device software version?

This seems very strange, so we let's do some troubleshooting to see if that helps at all with this issue. Could you provide me your current version of Spotify? Does this happen when you use another device, and is there any other issues happening?

Also, make sure that you close all background apps to see if the issue still occurs.

I've experienced this issue for years despite updating the app whenever there is one available.  I don't have any other issues.  

 

App version: 8.4.70.666 armV7

 

I've tried closing out the background apps for years.

I provided some steps in my last reply. Please tell me this info so we can move forward within the next steps to take. I can also ask the info here:

  • Current Spotify version
  • Are you using Offline mode?
  • Do you experience other issues with the app? And does this happen using other devices?
