A thing that i found might solve the issue is when searching a song there is three dots on the right side of the song, pressing them and then going to song radio might be an option.

I second this.

Hey there @Walter715, @Fr3d3 and @philbo2113,

Thank you for your posts - and thank you for your recommendation @Fr3d3 🙂 We're happy to help further.

Would you mind logging in with another account - such as a friend's or a family member's to see if the issue persists?

Also - try with another internet connection.

If that doesn't do the trick - can you let us know which version of Spotify you have?

Keep us posted. We'll have an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

I have been having the same issue as Ofird167 and several others described for I don't know how long. Toggling Autoplay, clearing cache and reinstalling the app doesn't resolve the issue. Please could you look into this as I believe it affects many people.

PS. my system is IOS

Hey @vdsokolov,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community 🙂

Could you check if the issue occurs on another device? That way we can check if it's a device-related issue.

It's also a good idea to give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall. This one is more thorough than the usual one.

It’d also be useful to let us know if the issue occurs only with certain playlists.

Keep us in the loop! If you have questions, you know where to find us.

I have followed the steps for a clean reinstallation. No problems so far, and the issue I mentioned never occurs on my MacBook. Thanks for your help!

Hi @vdsokolov

Thanks for getting back to us.

We're happy to hear that everything is now working as expected.

If anything else comes up, we're always one reply away.

I have to report that the same issue is again affecting the Spotify app on my iPhone. As several other members described, the problem is that when playing a song from searches, the app often does not continue onto the next song from the selected song's radio when the song is finished (see the gif uploaded by Ofird167). In addition, I have noticed that if you play the same song for a second time, then the linked radio will indeed automatically begin to play once the song ends. I really hope this issue can be resolved.

Hey @vdsokolov,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Because a clean reinstall solved the issue, albeit temporarily, this would indicate that something is interfering with the apps cache. Could you make sure that the app has all necessary permissions enabled? It's also a good idea to turn off any battery or storage optimization services you have running. Be sure to also check for any updates available for your iPhone.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted how you get on.

It may be beyond your capacity, but could you recommend any specific steps I can take to check that the app has been given all the necessary permissions on my device? I have recently downloaded an update of the app but the issue I mentioned still persists.

Hi there @vdsokolov,

Thanks for the reply.

You can check the permissions by going to Home screen> Settings > Scroll all the way down until you see the list of apps > Click Spotify. In there enable all permissions. You can also check if enabling/disabling Background app refresh makes a difference.

Cheers.

Dear Spotify support team,

can you please stop repeating the same troubleshooting steps which obviously do not work post after post?

I have gone through numerous post chains to see the exact same propositions to reinstall, shut down repeat and shuffle, remove other songs in the playlist, clear cache, provide permissions, change device, re-login, switch connectivity method etc.

It seems as you’re hoping something might do the trick but don’t really know how to solve this continuous issue. Some of these propositions do not even make sense, i mean constantly clearing out the app’s cache for this feature to work?

This is a basic feature nowadays which all of your main competitors have and there it’s working fine.

if you can’t find a permanent fix for this on your development team, people are going to shift to another service, me included.

I can confirm that this is working. Turning off optimizations on my device for spotify made the autoplay work. I'll have to check if this is is the only scenario. I'll keep everyone posted.

Hi @salimkhan786,

Thanks for sharing what helped you out!

This is very helpful for other users experiencing the issue.

Cheers.

I am facing this issue for a long time. I am using the latest version with premium plan. I am using OnePlus 8T and I have tried all the steps mentioned in the thread but nothing worked. Even the problem remains when I use it on a different device. Can you please get this issue fixed .

Still does not work!!

It stops after play one song I searched.

Really annoying bug.

Please fix this asap.

I tried to reinstall app and toggle the autoplay many many times.

Hey there @9607,

Thanks for the post.

Can you let us know if Autoplay doesn't work only when you search for a song or also when a playlist/ album finishes?

On another note can you start a playlist/song radio?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

I am not sure if it does not work om album.

But for searching, it does not go to the next and sometimes I have to hit
multiple times then it moves to the next song.

This makes Alexa not to move to the next song when I say "Alexa, play next".

Hey @9607,

Thanks for the reply.

Can you clarify if this is happening when you're listening to music straight from your phone or when you're playing music from an Alexa powered speaker?

Does it happen if you play music from your PC or the web player too?

Keep us posted.
