Anytime I try to open my Blend Playlist on the mobile app, it completely crashes Spotify. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify multiple times. All other playlists work properly.

Hi there @Zombiip90,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.

It's odd that your app crashes only with the Blend playlist. We understand you already reinstalled the app, please try running a clean reinstall as this one is more thorough than a regular one.

If this doesn't do the trick, please try accessing your account using a different device and check if the app crashes too.

Keep us posted.

I know this is a bit of a me too post, but me too.

Setup 2 blends over the weekend, and when I enter either of them there is a circle in the top left that looks like it's trying to do an animation. It shows a red dot with a fainter red dot behind it. There is a green progress strip around the outside. The progress gets less than a second in, and about a quarter of the way around the circle, and the whole thing stops and the progress bar stutters moving backwards and forwards. At this point, Spotify has crashed and all I can do is force close it.

Hope that helps

Hi folks,

Thanks for the posts.

Since Blend is still in testing, it is expected to malfunction sometimes.

It would be great if you provide us with the following info:

  • Spotify version
  • Device make, model, and OS version.
  • Does this happen on other devices.
  • A short video recording of the issue, if possible.

Once we have this info, we can pass it on to the team developing Blend to help them improve the situation and find a possible fix 🙂

Cheers.

Hey so i have the same problem. The solution i found is to scroll down as soon as you open the Blend, wait a few seconds and then it'll work normally without crashing. Otherwise the animation gets stuck and the app becomes unusable.

Version: 8.6.60.1126

Device: Pixel 4xl running Android 12 beta 5.

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

I have the same problem. I'm on Android 12 on a Pixel 4 XL with the latest version of Spotify. Just looking at a Blend playlist will often freeze the app or make it crash to my home screen.

I tried this top response and now the app is acting like I'm off wifi even though I'm on it? It says to download playlists even though I'm positively online right now.

Hey @punkcryptid,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

Could you check if you have the Offline Mode of the app activated? Here is how to do it

Keep us posted,

Cheers!
