Can't Like Songs on Android

Last week my Spotify app on Android started giving me trouble.  I can unlike songs but I can't like any new songs.  It seems to be working perfectly fine on the web player.  I've tried clearing the cache and starting with a fresh install of Spotify to no avail.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe we should try some of the troubleshooting steps in This thread 

They include ;

• Try logging in on a different device
• Try logging out of your account and back in
• Remove your SD card and try again
• Even though you have cleared cache, confirm that there is enough memory on your device

If none of that works, you can always refer to the thread to see if there are any alternatives. I will be waiting to hear from you.

Same here. Started maybe 2 days ago, can't like songs on my phone or my tablet. Works fine through Google assistant and the web player.

Since it's broken on two separate devices, I'm sure it's not a device issue. Still, in the interest of completeness when troubleshooting I went through the steps of clearing the app's internal cache, clearing the cache through Android application settings then uninstalling and reinstalling the app. No fix.

I also did log out everywhere, no change. I'm a beta tester, so I got an application update today, no change, still doesn't work on Android.

I am gonna look more into this and try to reply as soon as I have more info.

What you can do for now is to subscribe to this thread so you get notified of any updates at the earliest.

Also, sort of a long shot but, could you try and remove your SD card and see if nothing changes?

Hi Taylith!

It started working today on my phone, and, after a reboot, also on my tablet.

I notice I got a new version of Spotify today.

Nothing changed on my end except the new version.

Same.  I just saw your reply, Dirtmunn, and checked my device.  New Spotify version and the liked button is working again.
