by the way: same thing happening with iOS and Android devices
I have same problem when casting from android phone or tablet, skipping or playing another song hang / corrupt playing further on chromecast audio, seems like a long ongoing problem which is not near to be closed or fixed...
Same problem here, is realy annoying... I have that problem in my Android device and in my computer too, queuing or skipping songs in playlists is a pain in the neck
Same problem here. Sometimes it just works - at other times I can't get Spotify to play and that goes for both the Audio and the "normal" Chromecast. When I select something it shows up nicely on the TV but no sound and if I skip to next song I sometimes hear some of the song that I'm skipping from.
To be honest I think it's a fair expectation that the music starts playing when you want it to. So to put it bluntly: Spotify, you'll soon have one customer less!

Yeah, that's what they always do. Never helped for me. And even if it did, it would be no option for me because you would lose all your followers/followings and "year in music".
I still hope they'll fix it soon. An official statement would be really appreciated.
Hmm, so nothing oficcially about this at all (lots of posts around net, both android and apple users)?
Music is so important in life and life to short for bugged applications. Spotify has been a nice product, but things like this which never seems to be fixed or handled just moves me to another product, so time to test out deezer....

The question that riddles me: are there any users whose chromecasts actually work in the desired way?
Make sure you message @spotifycares on twitter, i have already done it, if enough noise is made they might eventually fix it... at the moment its not big enough on their agenda. I sell solutions which use spoitify as a backbone - they simply do not seem to care. I wish they would fix it because it will be extremely painful to change all my clients over to a new service.
The very least they could do is aknowledge what the problem is and keep us up to date with whats going on.

Hey,
I contacted support and they gave the usually stuff which does not do anything (reinstall etc). Got that test account which worked somewhat (not perfect on many skip / select songs, but better).
When I disabled "Show on Facebook" problem is gone and skip to next, select another song seems good, after some stress testing it can stop / hang but it can be started right away without restarting client so that seems to be a clue in my isntallation. Anyone else test this?
I never even activated the facebook feature

Then the problem we have it's not the same it, just behaves the same (you're not posting to any other place either like Last.FM?). Going to test this over some time in case it comes back (I know if I enable the Facebook again, problem starts like before)
