Connected Devices won't connect

My Question or Issue

I can't connect to any of the listed 'Spotify Connect' devices. These include a PS4, Heos speakes and an Amazon Echo. I reinstalled Spotify yesterday (so I lost all my downloaded music) and it worked for a while, but now it's broken again. Tried rebooting. Nothing works.

It happens with downloaded or not downloaded, or from a search. Speakers work with radio from Heos App. Downloaded Deezer and signed up for a free trial: that works and actually integrates with the Heos app. So I've cancelled my Spotify sub: too buggy and painful to live with.

Just to confirm, does this happen specifically with songs that you have saved in Your Library, or does it happen with any song (e.g. if you play a song from within search)?
