My Question or Issue

I think a crossfeed option on the android app is necessary as when listening to Spotify using headphones the sound is imbalanced especially with the vocals favouring one speaker.

I absolutely agree - I don't know how people bear with listening to music on headphones without crossfeed.

For you Spotify devs, if you ever read this, take a look at bs2b. It's a great little high quality library to do crossfeed properly.

The only thing saving me is that Sony provides their own crossfeed on Xperia phones (using the "Studio" surround sound setting).

For anyone who doubts this: Use bs2b and switch it on/off during listening. Angular perception is just gone when you turn it off.

It's correct that at the moment there isn't a crossfeed option. However, we recommend having a look at this Idea suggesting the implementation of that setting..

You can support the idea by adding your +VOTE , that'll make sure you stay up-to-date with any relevant updates about this. It’s also worth knowing that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

I've edited the link of my previous reply to share another idea open for voting that also suggests crossfeed. 

Take into account that the "Inactive" status doesn't mean the idea won't be implemented. If it reaches the necessary amount of votes, Spotify will consider it.
