My Question or Issue

So I downloaded some music - 3.9 gb, but internal storage got full, so uninstalled and got a memory card.

The issue is the 3.9gb of music is still on internal storage, cannot be viewed - deleted or manipulated. Settings > Apps > Spotify > Shows 3.9gb user data, I can clear it, it shows 0.0 , but then when I click back It's still showing 3.9 and when i go back into spotify app settings, It's showing there again. I have also ensured app is forced stopped before deleting.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, the songs are no longer showing as downloaded. And new items are being sent correctly to the memory card. But my internal storage is still being 'used' by spotify.

Looking for suggestions that arent 'factory reset your phone', thats not a solution I can partake of at the moment. Or things I've tried.

Hey there @PostmodernApe

We really appreciate you sharing this here in the Community!

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread.

Just to confirm, are you still experiencing this? If so, we’d first recommend trying a clean reinstall of the app on your phone since this step is more thorough than a regular reinstall and will remove any cache stored on the device.

If that doesn’t do the trick, make sure you try disabling any power saving or data cleaning settings on your mobile device. We recommend trying this since such features can often prevent the app from operating at full capacity.

Keep us posted! We’ll be happy to help further, just give us a shout.
