My Question or Issue
I use Spotify throughout the day, connecting to/thru many devices - BT speakers/headphones, Echo devices, wired headphones, Android Auto, Windows 10, etc. For the most part, no problems at all, except in the area of the integrated EQUALIZER (E) within Spotify. For my devices that include a built-in E (Android Auto, higher end Echo devices), the ability to disable it is a lengthy, cumbersome process (go back to the home screen, enter settings, scroll, scroll, scroll to E, disable E and return back to the playlist/song I'm listening to). I reverse this process when I then connect to a device without an I integrated E.
The E is a necessity and one that I cannot live without, but I often find that, in the case of Android Auto, failing to disable the Spotify E prior to connecting my P3XL normally results in over distortion (Spotify E further enhances the already-enhanced sound through the vehicle's E) with varying degrees of corrective success (all while operating a moving vehicle, no less). ๐
So...my question is this...does/did anyone else experience this and what do you do to minimize (eliminate) this? I've considered exploring the use of such automation apps (i.e., Tasker), but with all of the newer features/functions of A10, it would be about the only thing I'd use Tasker to do (back when such on/off functions were non-existent in Android, Tasker was awesome).
Lastly, if Spotify (Connect) is able to detect what output device one is playing through, would it be possible for the coding gurus at Spotify to include the ability to auto-majically en/disable E based on said connected output? Seems like a great idea to submit (to me), but I wanted to check with the "help" community first...maybe there's a secret setting in the app that I'm unaware of (or "another way").
