[Feature request] Sync playlists ordering between desktop & mobile

[Feature request] Sync playlists ordering between desktop & mobile

Hey there,

Plan : Premium (irrelevant)

Country : France (irrelevant)

Device : Xiaomi Mi 8 (irrelevant)

Operating System : Android 10 (irrelevant)

My issue :

Since Spotify on desktop allows us to order playlists, it would be nice for mobile versions to apply this same order.

Personally, I order my playlists in alphabetical order on Spotify for Windows 10, while Spotify for Android is imposing an order by last played date, making it difficult for me to browse them.

Secondary issues :

(despite sorting playlists on mobile is my primary issues, here are secondary issues regarding very similar subjects that could be processed at the same time)

- As Spotify for desktop allows automated artists and albums sorting by name, title and added date, having the same feature for playlists would be nice too.

- As Spotify for desktop allows sorting playlist songs by any column, having the same feature for albums would be nice too.

- As Spotify for desktop allows sorting liked songs by title, artist, album and added date, having the same feature for duration, which is the last column, would be nice too.

- As Spotify for desktop already allows to use some sorting features, and may allow more in the future, having the same features in mobile would be nice too.

Disclaimer : I'm posting this in the Android category because the main issue is firstly related to Spotify on mobile and more specifically on Android, however, this issue may also be relevant to Apple devices, although I can't confirm it.

Thanks.

Hey there @KaKi87

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.

Spotify constantly strives to improve the user experience with its features and the easiest way to achieve this is by regular app updates. That's why we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestion with the Community. If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented 🙂

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.
