My Question or Issue
I have done a removal restart and reinstall of the software - still get the error. Turned off batter optimization - still get the error.
App has not worked correctly for at least a few weeks now.

Thanks for getting in touch about this.
You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?
If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind trying with a different internet connection to check if that makes the difference?

Can you check if Spotify is Granted all Permissions from the App settings on your phone?
Also, let us know if this issue appears when you're both on WiFi and mobile data, and if you're using an SD card.

- open Spotify
- delete cache
- close app
- open spotify
- nothing happend as allways 😉
- disable network
- wait for the app showing the notification in button than we are offline
- enable network again
- ..wait for it!!!!
- BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
