My Question or Issue

Spotify alarm feature doesn't work properly. I connected it to my account, it must have worked because it showed me my recently played. Then attempted to select a song and after a few tries it finally selected. I then set the alarm for a minute later and when it popped there was no song, but a default beeping, and a message at the bottom of the screen that said java.lang NullPointerException. Attempted fixes and settings changes, no fix yet. Please help.

Hey @simmo-s,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

Let us know if this issue persists once you've performed a clean reinstall on the affected device. We recommend this step since it'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

It's also a good idea to remove Google Clock from the list of apps with access to your Spotify account. Afterwards when you link them again, the connection with our servers will be built from the ground up. You can consult this guide for instructions.

Keep us posted! We'll be happy to lend a hand if you need more help.
