How to search for user

I'm trying to search for my profile on another account. I type in my username exactly, and still nothing shows up.

Try typing in spotify:user:username, where "username" is replaced by your own username, it should help out 🙂
Tip: Keep in mind that display names are different than the usernames.

So spotify doesn't allow you to change your username which is are random characters like that means people can't never find my account by searching. That's kinda dumb.

Why can't you search for your friends/users anymore on Spotify? I used to love discovering my friends’ playlists and seeing what they were listening to—it added a personal and organic touch to the platform. Lately, it’s become much harder to find user profiles, and the experience feels more curated by Spotify than by the community. I really miss that authentic, social aspect that made Spotify feel more connected and unique.

I would also like to understand the inner workings because I swear there used to be a "Users" tab in the Search besides "Artists" "Episodes" etc
