Hi everyone,

 

Spotify stopped working on android auto after the last update. The app can be operated, but selecting and playing songs does not work. Only restarting the app on the smartphone can help.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out!

 

Could you let us know the version of Spotify you're running? You can check that under the app's settings > About. Also, does the issue persist after clearing the app's data and cache / reinstalling it? If possible, try testing with another device (a friend's or a relative's would do the trick) to see if the issue is also present there.

Version 8.7.20.1261

The problems persist. Clearing the app cache and reinstalling it didn't
help. The problem also occurs with a OnePlus Nord.

Do you get any specific error message when the app stops working? A picture / short video which shows the issue in action would be greatly appreciated. That way we can get a clear understanding of how things look on your end.
