Let me permanently disable Smart Shuffle

I do not want to use Smart Shuffle, at all, ever. For the past few months it has been screwing up my Liked Songs and it is extremely annoying. When I turn off shuffle because I am in a block of songs I want to listen to, the next song it plays will ALWAYS be a specific song instead of the next song in the list. This specific song changes whenever I add more songs to my liked songs.

Played my playlist and heard a song I didn't put there. Sure enough "smart" shuffle had been activated again.

I disabled it started to play - but spotify reapplied "smart shuffle" again.

How hard is this for the product owner to understand: I pay premium for spotify. I do that NOT to have random sh#t played in my playlists. If you insist on this stupid functionality, make it an option that I can deselect.

I am going to cancel my Spotify subscription and find a new streaming app if this awful feature doesn't get removed. PLease bring back regular shuffle!

So Instead of giving us the option to permanently remove this feature from our playlists they made it even worse by being the first option on Shuffle and it keeps turning itself back on. When I'm listening to my Eurovision playlist I obviously don't want some terrible Sabrina Carpenter song to start playing 🙃

Is it really that hard to give us a simple on/off switch?

Honestly this smart shuffle button is madness. I made my playlists, why are you trying to force other songs into it. Give us the option to turn it off please, it's a horrible feature.

This is just a really poor feature, I get what it was going for. Someone likely saw that shuffle didn't always retain users and so the idea was why don't we use magic to surface songs that will keep people listening longer. I want to be clear here, this feature is stupid, any data supporting it is lying. This is actively driving users to other platforms. Just make a new button, boom problem solved. This has been an issue for years and is it actively causes me to stop using Spotify instead of fixing it. When I am in my car on mobile data Spotify will default to smart shuffle instead of locally downloaded songs using data when I pretty expressly didn't want it to. When I click shuffle on an album or playlist I did that because I want to hear that thing, not whatever chart topper is trending, if I wanted that I would have gone to discover weekly.

Made a Father's Day playlist for my elderly father who is technically illiterate. The playlist is special and the songs in the playlist are the songs in the playlist--just like my 412 other playlists I've created in the last 10 years. It is infuriating when seemingly randomly smart-shuffle is active and i get songs in my playlists that I don't want to hear. Now this is a playlist I specifically curated for someone else, and it's especially egregious that you defaulted the shuffle setting to "smart". I'd pay double for Spotify Premium if you just LEFT ME THE **bleep** ALONE and didn't thrust the AI DJ upon me or smart shuffle or constant recommendations. I want the "I know wth I'm doing" edition.

I would love to be able to turn smart shuffle off for good. When smart shuffle is on and I tap it to turn it to regular shuffle, it switches right back to smart shuffle. Can we at least get that fixed until we can permanently shut it off?

Please!!!!, this is EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!. Or at least the application would work fine, but it is a problem to activate or deactivate this. If the smart shuffle is activated, I click to deactivate it, and it doesn't come off, or it comes off after a while, or it comes off and after a while it comes back on, or it stays stuck and does nothing. Incredible how bad this feature is... Would you believe me if I told you that I thought about leaving Spotify just because of this annoying feature?

Same here. I don't want this feature at all. I'm in my car and I don't have good service. I want to turn off shuffle but it just straight up won't let me because my Internet isn't working.

Please, can you add an option to remove the annoying Smart Shuffle mode?

Everytime I press the Shuffle mode, it goes to Smart Shuffle and the playlist starts playing songs that I never asked to play and I don't want to listen any circunstance.

It is really annoying.
