New App Logo can't be changed

My Question or Issue

The app icon was changed today to a hideous discoball inconsistent with everything else on the screen. I see Spotify still uses the clear 2-tone logo for literally EVERYTHING else. Is there a way I can get that on my home screen? Or do I seriously need a third party icon app to workaround Spotify's user unfriendliness?

Yes I know the icon is temporary and you just need to update your app afterwards. But guess what! It does not! I tried lots of things like reinstalling, offloading, clearing caches, …. My app store keeps showing the ugly disco ball, I did my time with it, didn’t complain, but enough is enough! Give me relief, it was promised … **bleep** I want compensation now for the psychological damage! It just looks like an app stat is stuck on the install/ugrade cycle for god’s sake.

Help my ocd can not handle it anymore! I need the responsible to be punished as well.

I have tried EVERYTHING to make it revert with ZERO success. UGH. I can't explain why I hate the disco ball so much because I like disco balls. I just don't want it as my Spotify app logo. CHANGE IT BACK.

UPDATE: THE DISCO BALL IS GONE! I updated the app today and it is finally gone. THANK THE SPOTIFY LORDS.
