My Question or Issue
Playing podcasts on my laptop is fine - when I listen on my phone, they play in random order. I read a solution to this is to download them, which has helped with that issue.
My current issue now is when I try to filter podcasts by date, it works the first time and shows them earliest to latest, but when I try and download one, the screen will suddenly start flipping between displaying latest to earliest and back and forth, so I can't take any action on things until the episode I was downloading has finished downloading, at which point it seems to settle and go back to displaying earliest to latest normally.
I've tried reinstalling the app and clearing the storage, but it's still happening.
Has anyone else seen this or have any tips on fixes to try?
Thanks!
Hello
The Spotify version on my phone is 8.6.36.1070
The other phone I tried with is an OnePlus 3T (Android version 9, model ONEPLUS A3003, OxygenOS version 9.0.6) with the Spotify version 8.6.36.1070
I have 6,2 GB of storage available.
Hi again @meguisb,
Thanks for bearing with us and for all the info you've shared.
There's currently a newer version of the app. Could you try running a clean reinstall again and let us know how it goes?
We'll be looking out for your reply.
I ran the clear reinstall, and I can see that I do have the newer version of the app (8.6.40.929), but I tried reorganizing the podcast episodes again, and it still does not work, the issue remains the same.
Hi @meguisb,
Thank you for keeping us on the loop and sharing this info.
Could you confirm if this issue is happening only with one specific podcast, or with any you try to listen to?
Keep us posted!
As far as I can tell, it happens with any and all podcasts.
Hi again @meguisb,
Thank you for your reply.
Can you provide us a screen recording from the beginning to the end so that we can have a closer look directly from your end?
Keep us posted 🙂
Cheers!

Hi folks,
Please make sure you're running the latest app version. If you do, check if the issue is still happening.
If the issue persists please let us know your current app version.

I updated the app and it seems to have worked! I tried it with all my podcasts, and the orders do in fact change and remain that way.
Thank you so much!

Hi there @ralphatobe,
Could you let us know if the issue persists after logging out and restarting the app twice in a row? This may sound odd but it's how the app refreshes.
It's also a good idea to restart your phone and check with a different connection to see if there's a difference.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hi @CarlosE,
I tried both methods you suggested and the issue is still present. Let me know if there are other possibilities I should attempt.
Ryan
