Problem logging in. Spotify does not detect internet connection

Hi,
Spotify has logged me out, so I'm trying to log in.
It tells me that I'm offline (even though I'm connected to the Internet), so I have to go online to log in. I press the "Connect" button.
This fails, so Spotify sends an e-mail containing a link to log in.
I click the link within a minute of receiving the mail (even though it's supposed to be valid for four hours), after which it says that the link has expired.
I press the button to send a new link, but no new link is ever sent...
How is it even possible to have all of these fail-safes implemented, and none of them working?
This has happened multiple times and I have to reinstall the app every time, simply because nothing else works...
