Have an issue with Android auto and not sure what the problem is. It only happens when my Phone (galaxy S7 with latest software) is connected by Bluetooth to my 2015 Ford Fiesta. Basically I can't use spotify in Android Auto. It just keeps playing for a second then shutting down and loading again then shutting down. It's fine if I do the same thing through any other bluetooth source just the car. Also I can play Spotify fine on its own. If I use tunein radio within Android auto its fine.
The fact that it plays fine through any other Bluetooth source leads me to think its something to do with the car but I'm not sure as it used to work before.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Every problem I had with Spotify in my car was solved by going to the Apps list chosing Spotify and let Spotify get access to everything on the list you see. I hope it works for you as well! Good luck!
Same problem here. I have a Galaxy S6 and this just started happening this week. If i reinstall the app, it works- once. If I force stop, it works - once. But in both cases, when I try to connect in my car the next time, it won't work and I have to go through the process again. If anyone has a solve please let me know as I'm about to cancel my premium subscription.
same issue and same timing. I can reproduce this issue by logging into android auto app which confirms that it is not a car issue. This issue started at the same time of the last Spotify app updoate. As mentioned above, if spotify is 'force stopped' or 'reinstalled' everything will work only once. Will stop working next time turned on.
Spotify Support, please fix!
Hi. The deinstallation / reinstallation of Spotiy solved this problem for me.

Same issue, Galaxy S7 using Android Auto on Ford Escape pops message about Spotify not working at this time. Works well trough BT streaming but also has issues running directy trough Ford Sync, most of the time Spotify does not show up as avalable App.
I've got a new Audi, I've had an issue with Spotify over the last few weeks via the app. It says that Spotify cannot be accessed or that something is wrong. I can play spotify using the Spotify app, then have it play in my car but then I lose all contol to it using the audio controls on the car. I can then only use it via the phone. Does anyone know if this issue has been resolved?

I think this has worked for me, i had been hesitant to post about it in case it was fluke, but it has been over a week so far and all good.
Thank you
Same problem is back. I have, at one point or another, tried every solution posted on this site. The only thiing that works for me is to force stop Spotify before I connect to my car - every time. Is is less than awesome.
