Songs don't change order in search after you play them

Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you get the search working once more.

 

To confirm, do you mean that when you play something from search, it doesn't get put at the top and the list of searches, doesn't update, correct? Does this only happen on the Moto you mentioned or on other devices too? In any case, to start off, consider performing a full clean reinstall to clear any damaged cache, as that's a likely cause for something like this.

I am having the same issue suddenly on my Samsung S21+. Songs are no longer going to the top after I play them. I actually just got off a chat with support, they couldn't help me. Seems it was a random testing feature. Will this come back soon? I've already reinstalled, restarted, cleared cache. Nothing helps.

In order to look into this further with the relevant team, would you mind confirming if it happens on different devices as well or just on your S21+?

 

Also, let us know the following info:


- OS version of your device

- Exact Spotify version

 

Lastly, and if possible; could any of you record a short video where we can take a better look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

No clue why I don't get notifications for replies here. I have Android 15 right now, Spotify version 9.0.82.1032. The feature still hasn't come back.

As for the video, here is an example:
