Shuffle badge next to Play button always toggled on

Lately the horrendous Spotify application on android plays all albums and playlists in shuffle mode by default (which should even be illegal). I never ever listen to any album on random, it doesn't make any sense. But someone on Spotify decided to change the themes order on all albums ever made. Maybe it's a joke but it's taking too long to end.  I know that I can always disable it after starting to play the first music, but I want the inverse, I want to disable that annoying thing from default. I already checked the settings but I didn't figure out how to fix this stupidity.

Hey folks!

Shuffle should be on by default when you open the app, but this can be changed per playlist. So once you turn off the shuffle option for one playlist, that setting should be saved for that playlist next time. 
We'd like to ask you to confirm if this is the behaviour you're experiencing right now.

Verify if shuffle goes gets auto-turned back on when:

• you search for another artist/playlist/song that you haven't searched before
  
• you remove your cached data/reinstall your app
  
• you listen to anything you've had previously searched for and then come back and check the shuffle status
  

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

There must be typo in the text here, right? I expect that the text should read as follows:

Even better would be a general option  where people can choose their default preference.

I think everyone here is well-aware that it's on by default, and that it can be turned off for each playlist.

The fact that it's on by default IS the problem.

Let me re-iterate: liked songs act as a playlist. I have built up lists of liked songs over many years, and that is how I mainly use Spotify (I choose an artist I want to listen to, then go into the liked songs list). I have hundreds of artist in my list ... now I have to manually un-shuffle all of them?

Please tell me, is Spotify looking at rectifying this situation?

Happens to me in desktop mode have no idea why, i have a pc and an apple phone=does not comput maybe. Hihi. I just go back and then it works and then it jumps and I just go with it nowadays. But I do have the same issue!

Could you send us the make/model, OS version and Spotify version installed on your PC?

Changing tunes, let us know if this happens with the web player on the same device.

Lastly, send us over a short video showing how the Shuffle option activates automatically.

The app keeps playing everything in shuffle by default. Nothing is solved and now even if I click on the first song it still shuffles the album. Feels like the application was designed by some ignorant developer who never ever listened to an album. The premium service doesn't solve anything too. The Spotify team must have the worst software developers in the world. I never experienced any software as hideous as all the Spotify trash.

Can you confirm if the earlier post is accurate? Shuffle is now always on by default on most playlists? 

Certainly not a great user experience to have to manually turn it off each time you open a new artist or playlist.

I have the exact same problem on IOS! Every album/artist/playlist it doesn’t matter what it is. I need to manually turn off the stupid shuffle button and I’m losing my mind to this bullsh!t! Someone has to fix this ASAP! Or just in general remove the shuffle button altogether!

Well, I found a good solution to this problem ... I moved to Tidal.

They're cheaper and pay their artists more. I imported my playlists, favourite artists and songs (cost $4 and took 30 mins), and they basically had everything. If Spotify spent as much time fixing their app as they did filing posts under the right threads, this would have been resolved already. It's clear that Spotify are now at the hubris stage of their corporate cycle, and care not one whit what their customers want. Adois.
