Device

Pixel 4a & Pixel 6 Pro

Operating System

Android 12 (SQ1A.211205.008 for 4a and SD1A.210817.036 for 6 Pro)

My Question or Issue

Since Upgrading to Android 12 the track length, how much time remaining, and album name does not show on my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Headunit. It is the 8.4" UConnect running the latest 18.45.01 update available. The Pixel 4a worked correctly before upgrading to Android 12. The Pixel 6 Pro came on Android 12 and does not work. Other music applications on the same phones (Amazon Music, etc) *do* provide the correct information.

What I've Tried

Reboot Phone

Reinstall Spotify App

Remove/Recreate Bluetooth Pairing

Different phone (my wife's 4a still on Android 11 works fine, neither my 4a nor 6 Pro on 12 work)

Enable Android Developer Options (each option tested individually)

  • Disable Bluetooth A2DP Hardware Offload
  • Enable Gabeldorsche
  • Bluetooth AVRCP Version 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6

Hi @bkhahn,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

What you describe was already reported in this thread, which means that the teams in charge are aware and into this.

To start, we suggest you make sure the Bluetooth device (your car unit in this case) has enabled all permissions. You can check this by going to your phone's Settings > Bluetooth > open the device's name and check that all permissions are toggled on.

If the issue persists, please head to the thread I shared before and add the following info to the post:

  • Your device info: Make, model and operating system

  • Spotify's app version

  • The same photo you sent

Also, make sure to +Vote on the thread, that'll make sure you stay up to date about any developments from our side, so please keep an eye on it.

Cheers!
