My Question or Issue

Spotify works smoothly on my PC and the web page on the web. Unfortunately the app won't open on my phone, I'll click the app and it just backs out giving me a message saying "Something went wrong, Spotify closed because this app has a bug, try updating after its developer provides a fix for the error". The appstore has no update available for the app so I'm at a lost. I've reinstalled it, cleared cache, restated my phone, nothing has worked.

You dont have to wait 24hrs anymore. A clean reinstall works on its own. Dissappointing that the mods never updated us and kept it all quiet.

I wouldn't blame the mods. I'm sure they rely on updates from the devs and relay as much info as they can!

@giantsfan97 You're probably right about the mods! I've just been so frustrated by all the delays and over 3 days without Spotify felt like forever.  There must have been some working behind the scenes since there was an update. Overall I'm just happy there was consistent communication with other users and it wasn't just me going crazy. Happy Spotify listening to all of you!! 😊

My location is correct, yet this keeps happening. When I logged out and tried logging in again, it wouldn't let me in because I can't use my Spotify for more than 14 days abroad, despite having not been abroad for months, using Spotify normally every day until a few days ago, and my location being correct. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, did a clean reinstall, and I could get into my account again, but the same issue persists.

Its only like this on my account other accounts on this device work basically home page keeps telling me to retry and no songs show up all my playlists are empty and same on my phone i tried redownloading multiple times

 is the issue open again?

I am facing it. I was out of country. My premium expired while in other country. I came back all my playlists are not loading. And on web and mac player it is working fine.

+1 for this. 9.1.44.2120 worked for me.

im also getting the same issue but some reason when i open Spotify on my computer it works fine  but it doesn't  on my phone

Got to say, the whole resolved thing lasted for a short 3 days. After the app auto installed the latest updated version 9.1. 48.1661,  the app stopped working again. I am going to try this whole reinstall thing again, but honestly it's becoming a real pain having to keep reinstalling ever since the May updates.

Yeap, broken again... it workend after the whole uninstall  / reinstall thing for like 3 days but now I get the same error again.

My Question or Issue

Hey, despite using all solutions I can think of like redownloading the app, re-loading, clearing my cache, even creating a new account, Spotify does not play songs and half the time does not even load past a screen saying "please try again later". This is starting to get very frustrating, and ive noticed its only started to happen after we got a new update (signaled to me by the new icon). How can I possibly solve this issue? I use podcasts and music to help me sleep and overall in day to day life so you can imagine that im not a happy camper. Hope this can be solves soon, and please do not tell me for the 50th time to reinstall the app.

Hello Spotify! I have the exact same problem and I tried everything — I tried clearing my cache, reinstalling the app, logged in on a different device yet it still hasn't been fixed yet. Please help to fix this problem of mine and so is every body else. 

Hello, um this problem is happening only with my account... I tried with my other accounts and it works just fine.... moreover my account works smoothly on web but its keeps popping up in android version..... please solve this problem....

I created a new account and eventually that one stopped working as well.😐

None of the below information is required. However, the more you provide the easier it will be for us to try and help. All of thr songs in my Playlist are gone im so confused even my share Playlist have no songs they disappeared outta nowhere at first I though I was getting hacked but no I never got sent a warning so I dont believe that'd the case but what do I do about songs? THEY show on other people's side but when im logged into my acc I cant see any

For the past few days, the Spotify app hasn't been working. I can't access my playlists anymore (all my songs have been automatically removed from my playlists), and when I search for a song, the app tells me it can't find it. I uninstalled the app, but that didn't help. 

I tried all the solutions I found, but the problem persists with my main account.
