When I'm listening to Spotify in the background, it closes the app or stops playing music.

Thanks for posting on the Community!

Just to check, do you notice any difference with running the app in the background after clearing stored cache? Make sure to log out from the app and back in again once it's done. Completing these steps should resync your account info.

We can also recommend having a look at the phone's battery settings and making sure that Spotify is set as an exception if you're using any battery optimization option. It's a good idea to check that Spotify has the permissions to run in the background as well.

It only happens with battery saver mode on the phone. Version.9.1.76.2055

We had a look into this, and as it only seems to happen when using the battery saver, it's most likely related to your current setup and device. In this case, we can't provide a specific timeframe if or when this will be fixed for you.

We recommend using the app without any background/battery restrictions (when possible) in the meantime. Make sure to keep the app up-to-date too, as well as the device's OS, to get the latest fixes and features when they're released.
