I'm just trying to decide whether it is worth hanging on to the speaker, as it wasn't cheap and I currently have no way of playing any music on it as it doesn't even come with a cable to plug in with...
If it's going to be months, then there's a good chance the speaker will not only be cheaper by then, but there will be others available on the market.
You could try getting an idea from the support team with the contact form. If you get an automated response directing you back to the community or to the help pages, make sure to reply to it directly to speed things along.

Exchanged a couple of emails with the support team. They asked me to reinstall again, which didn't affect anything. However I've looked back at both of the android handsets and the button has suddenly appeared. I have to say now that the feature is working I am very happy with my purchase!!!!
Can definitely recommend the speaker! Well balanced sub - have listened to some House, DnB, Rock and acoustic, all sound great! Also using the Connect feature across both phones is great!
