Spotify keeps repeating same single song

I have had an issue for some time now where I will be listening to music either from one artist or a playlist and after a few songs, the same one song then keeps playing on repeat and I cannot skip past it. It just keeps playing the same one song. I have to force close the app and restart. How can this be resolved? It's very frustrating.

Using a Samsung S25 but also happened on my S22.

As far as I understand it's one particular song that keeps repeating, regardless if it's in a playlist you're listening to or an artist's tracks.

Let us know:

• Did you notice when this behavior happened for the first time (was it after an update for example)? 
• Are you streaming to an external device (headphones or speaker for example) when this happens?

If you've not done any further troubleshooting so far, I recommend a clean reinstall with the steps here as they also include clearing the cache which can cause performance issues when it's corrupted. If you're using an SD-card, please remove it before the reinstall.

In case the behavior persists, it would be helpful if you could ask a relative or a friend to log in to their account on your device(s), play the same playlist/artist to see if the same thing would happen.
