Unable to sync offline/local files....

Solved!

Unable to sync offline/local files....

When I select "Available Offline" Spotify then begins to download the songs, but I want it to copy them from my computer -- not re-download them all from the internet.

Within the desktop version of Spotify, the playlsit is set to "Available Offline," and it does have a little green arrow next to it.

I am referring to a playlist that is under "My Music."

Also, some songs appear to be grayed out and they say "This track is not available." This is a DRM-free track that I burned from a CD. Why is it not available? I can only assume that it is not available because Spotify is still trying to download it from the internet instead of just copying it from my computer.

Thanks for any help with this.

Unfortunately, I did not realize that Spotify was not playing offline/local files until I got an alert from my cell provider that my data usage rate was high.

You should be able to sync local files over to your mobile device. Does your mobile device appear under "Devices" on the left of the desktop Spotify app?
