Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out about this and welcome to the Community!
Could you let us know if this happens across devices or only on a specific one?
If this happens only on a specific device, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.
If the issue persists, could you give a different internet connection a go to see if the same happens? It's also worth checking if the OS of your device is up to date.
Lastly, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device would come in handy.
We'll be waiting for your reply.
just install any previous version of the Spotify. I tried all the battery optimization this and that everything ntg worked until I thought maybe app is the problem.

My Question or Issue
When using the apps on both desktop and mobile it's either extremely slow or completely unresponsive. I've tried deleting, clearing cache/data, ensuring it was set to battery optimization, ignoring it, etc. It works completely fine in-browser, but is unusable in-app.
Same problem for me. Desktop app is so slow it's completely unusable.
Time between pressing a button and the app responding is several minutes.
Things like clean reinstalling the app and cache clearing do not work!
Spent countless hours with spotify support troubleshooting but nothing works.
Having this problem for at least a year now. The problem is clearly with the app itself.
I can see the same problem on so many threads.
Looks like hundreds, if not thousands, of people have been complaining about this, and it looks like it's been going on for years!
Come on Spotify, please fix this!!

Hey @chipyyy, @Brooksy_UK,
Thanks for getting in touch about this.
Could you let us know if the same happens while using a different internet connection? If so, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your devices and check if they can replicate this behavior with their account?
On another note, sending us a short screen recording would come in handy. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
