How to shuffle artist tracks?

When I open an artist and press the "shuffle" button Spotify strongly favours the newest albums and omits albums from 1970/1980 entirely. How can I really listen to an artist in shuffle mode? Thanks for help

Spotify keeps logging me out and deleting all my downloaded songs when my iPhone dies
