EQ lowers the volume drastically

I think the sound quality is pretty poor without the EQ. The problem iswhen i activate the EQ the volume drops drastically. Any ideas what to do?Using a Samsun Galaxy S3 -mini. Have tried a reinstallation.regards Dennis
