"Something Went Wrong. Check your internet connection and try again" error on Android Spotify

Playlists work fine. But if open an album or artist page then this error pops up. It works fine on my ipad and Windows laptop, only on my phone does this problem persist. I have tried deleting, clearing all data and then reinstalling multiple times. It sometimes fixes for a little while but again backtracks to this problem. Paying premium doesn't feel worth it with this error 😕.

I have double checked my data-savings and battery optimisation settings as well (within the app and of my phone as well) but it hasn't helped.

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

Kudos for the troubleshooting steps you've tried! You mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

If the issue persists, could you check if the same happens if you use a different internet connection? If you've been using Wi-Fi, now you can try with mobile data. 

Lastly, sending us the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your phone would come in handy.
