Like Button Removal

Yo, I didn’t get the changes on my version but my friend did and he wont stop complaining about them please change them back so he’ll shut up. Also, I thought the heart symbol on the song was perfectly placed and easy to access so I’d probably be kind of upset too.

I completely agree!! Before I could tell whether or not a song was liked both on the playlist/album list and on the sign itself. When it comes to being able to easily add a song to multiple playlists, I like this, but think it should be a separate thing from the like button. I tried to like a song the other day and noticed the heart was missing and instead there was a green check. The thing about the like heart button being gone is instead of just liking a song when it already exists on one of my playlists I have to add it to the likes songs playlist. Even if the song isn’t already liked but is on a playlist it already shows up with the green check mark so I can’t tell if I’ve liked it already. Also it’s kinda annoying that when I do use the plus button to add a song it automatically lies it and then I have to go and change it instead of being able to choose which playlists I want the song on. BASICALLY, make the heart and plus button separate because they need separate functions

yeah i absolutely hate this update. i have so many songs saved from my high school days that i can’t stand to hear now so i’m constantly taking things out. i mainly use spotify in the car while i’m driving so instead of one easy tap to take things out (i don’t even have to look away from the road while doing it), i now have to tap 3 times to just take it out of my “liked songs.” very annoying and inconvenient, not to mention dangerous bc i’m driving

Yeah no i really hate it and i hope they remove it because it makes liking/disliking songs a lot more tedious and as someone who has a lot of liked songs it just makes it worse for me

we can't see our "liked" songs through other playlist. Before i used to go in my large playlist, scroll and easily see what song i prefer since it has a heart on the title. But now they removed the heart so there no way to know which songs is in the "liked" folder unless you are in the "liked" folder which is a HUGE LET DOWN, AGAIN SPOTIFY

I think the developers doesn't knwo how we use this features. The "heart" is use to tag our favourite songs while they think we use it to "quickly add the songs to a play list called liked song". We add songs we like to a playlist by pressing the 3dots at the top of the page and we "heart" the songs we love but also add them to the same playlist of our "liked" songs. So when we go into our playlist there's a bunch of songs we "like" and a bunch of songs we "love" The "heart" is what differentiate them.

We can't use this system anymore because the "heart" isn't showing up anymore anywhere. When we scroll our playlist we can't see the "hearted" songs and even when listening to a song, we now see a "+" sign but it doesn't tell us if we "hearted/love" the song or if we simply added it to a playlist. So every time we want to know if we "hearted" the song we now have to click on the check mark and look if the "liked song" folder is checked which is so annoying.

They literally removes the "heart" features and turned it into "just another random playlist"

I'm not sure how thy could fix this beside putting back the heart where it was and adding the "+" somewhere else on the playing card... But they need to put back the heart everywhere it used to appears, in play list, on playing card, on artists pages, etc.

I talked to someone, Mark Joven C. over the chat and he simply couldn't understand what i explain here, i had to show him pictures and explain to him multiple time that the "heart" isn't just a way to add the songs to a playlist. It marks it with a heart and it's easy to see which songs are your favourite because of it.

Here's 3 images to help understanding what i'm saying;

the first photo shows where the "heart" used to be ( i draw them poorly)

second picture shows that the check mark doesn't tell us if we "hearted" the song because the check mark will be there if the song is added in other playlist

 3rd picture shows that the song was in fact not "hearted" and i have to click to see if it was or not.
