Make the Dislike button consistent

It's been two years since then, so obviously this isn't an issue of time. The current state of the Dislike button is a decision by the Spotify team and apparently it is intentional, so let's talk about it.

I don't understand how a piece of software as well known and as heavily used as Spotify is can have a feature so inconsistent as the Dislike button. It is different based on if you are a Premium or Free user, if you are on the computer or on your phone, and depends on what playlist you have going.

If the Spotify team wants us to have a Dislike button, place it everywhere. Every playlist, every song, on all devices. Place it consistently, in the same spot. Have it work the same way across devices. Make it simple and easy to use.

If the Spotify team doesn't want there to be a Dislike button, then bite the bullet and remove it. Explain your reasoning to the community and listen to their feedback. Why should there be no Dislike button? Does it mess with the algorithm? Are you worried about people spamming dislikes? Is it too complicated to add?

Just be consistent.

10000000% agree. Not having a dislike button on song AND artist is a real detractor. It keeps me going back to YouTube Music, which has its own shortcomings, but at least I can give songs a thumbs down from anywhere.
