Welcome to this month's Ongoing Issues Review where we keep you in the loop about some of the most trending ongoing issues reported here in the Spotify Community. This is where we share updates from behind the scenes and let you know what has been fixed, what we’re tracking, what we need your help with, and where things stand. FIXED
1. [macOS] Cannot pause or play Spotify using space bar after minimizing using Command+W
Our tech folks made some changes backstage and we received a lot of confirmations from the users in the thread that it's now resolved! 👏
2. Lyrics sharing looks different on iOS
When trying to share lyrics, the text within the lyrics box was way smaller than usual. This should be fixed on the latest version of the app.
3. The mix tool is stuck on some playlists, can't be removed
Issue should be resolved, so make sure to keep Spotify up-to-date! ✏️
4. Lyrics allignment in landscape mode
Same for this one! Lyrics in landscape mode were aligned completely to the left, due to which the front camera was covering the first few letters of every line as they scrolled down, but are back to normal now.
5. "Want to watch the video?" pop-up when playing songs from Search. Can't listen on external device
We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone running version 9.1.0 and higher! If you haven't already, make sure to install the latest updates by following this guide. ✨
6. Podcast episodes start over from the beginning on Android
This was affecting Android devices, but is now resolved!
7. Podcasts Following list in reverse order
Podcasts were displayed from oldest to newest instead of newest to oldest in Home > Podcasts > Following mainly on Android devices. Everything's back to normal now!
8. App is crashing when starting a podcast
The mobile app on both Android and iOS devices was affected, but the issue was fixed!
9. Galaxy Watch 8 Classic Add to Favorites Not Working Anymore
A pretty stubborn issue, which was resolved eventually and some users confirmed that as well! 🎉
10. Can't Switch to Student Discount
Users weren't able to subscribe to Premium Student, but we can confirm that the issue was fixed!
11. Music continues playing on mobile after disconnecting Bluetooth
We got reports that when disconnecting Bluetooth from car systems and such, the playback automatically continued on the phone. This was happening primarily on Android and on Samsung Galaxy phones in particular. All good now!
12. (iPad) No sound during playback
There aren't any new comments or reports in the thread, but our tech folks confirmed this should be fixed! 🤞
13. Shuffling Music Off The Web Browser Of Spotify
A pretty strange issue where Shuffle seems to have only worked properly on the Web Player, should be back to normal now!
14. Downtime December 15th: Login and playback issues
The issue was resolved pretty quickly and everything's back to normal! 🎊
15. Can't see other users recently played artists
We didn't hear back from the users in the thread, but this should be fixed!
16. Equalizer issues on desktop and Equalizer issues on mobile
The issue was resolved across all platforms!
17. Noiser network podcasts don’t play
We're happy to report that our internal testing shows that everything should be working again now.
18. Laggy behaviour on iOS app
A lot of users in the thread confirmed that everything is working smoothly now, amazing to hear! 👏
19. Liked Songs not syncing across devices
This was gradually fixed across different platforms, but we can confirm that everything should be back to normal now on all your devices!
UNDER INVESTIGATION
20. Users on Android devices can't play content in Offline mode
If you're experiencing this issue, make sure to add your vote and let us know whether you're seeing a black screen or an error message saying you're offline.
21. Spotify charts not updating
Our teams are aware of the issue and are actively working to resolve it.
22. Shuffle not working on iOS
This is being looked into and we've requested further details from the users (devices, OS and app-versions, description of the exact issue and also a video). 👀
23. Multiple car infotainment systems not loading playlists
We're getting reports from users that playlists aren’t loading on their car infotainment systems.
24. Podcast "Recently Updated" list not updating
We're reopening the investigation for this issue so if you're still experiencing it, please share your current device model, OS version and Spotify version and we'll forward them to our tech team.
25. "Your Episodes" can't be removed from Your Library
Our teams are looking into the behavior with Your Episodes. If you're experiencing this, make sure to add your Vote and share the requested details (if you haven't already).
26. Shared playlists not working on Kids accounts
We’ve been receiving reports that playlists shared with Kids accounts are not working. Some are seeing an error message saying “this is currently unavailable”. We'll keep you posted in the thread if we have any news to share! ✏️
27. Public Playlists Not Visible Profiles
There are some suggestions in the thread, which are worth the try, but if the issue persists afterwards, we'd really appreciate it if you can share the requested info!

This should be fixed, but we're still waiting for confirmation from anyone affected in the thread, so let us know how things look on your end if you have this issue! 👈

29. External monitors disconnect when opening Spotify
We've heard back from our tech team and can confirm that we haven't made any changes since the last fix, so it looks like this might be caused by specific setups. We recommend checking out the answer marked as solution in the thread, as well as the top answers for more info, since they are still valid.
30. Album Artwork Rounded Corners not Properly Rendered
We've made sure to pass it on to the right folks and while we can't commit to a specific timeframe for when it'll be fixed, we recommend keeping your Spotify app up to date, as well as the car's software, to ensure you get the latest features and fixes when they're released.
31. Autoplay activated for Apple TV. Spotify Connect problematic functioning.
The Apple TV app doesn't have a lot of settings at the moment and they're limited, but as we're always looking for ways to improve and offer better functions, there's a possibility that more will be added in the future, so that you'll be able to change the settings directly from there. Thanks for all the feedback in the thread!
32. Jam session playback control not working
We can confirm that this is expected behavior. As of right now, when the Jam host pauses the playback, it will be paused for everyone in the Jam, while if a guest in a remote Jam pauses the playback, it will be paused just for them. When they unpause the playback, they will rejoin where the session currently is.
33. Spotify Connect Airplay not working (timer shows music playing, but no sound)
We've passed all the reports in the thread to the respective team, but we can't say for certain at the moment when or if this is going to get addressed.
