This is where we share updates from behind the scenes and let you know what has been fixed, what we’re tracking, what we need your help with, and where things stand. FIXED
- Downtime 5th Nov: Some Spotify webpages are not working
Brief downtime on various Spotify webpages. Fixed later the same day
- Downtime 6th Nov: Issues updating Family plan address
Brief downtime where users were unable to update their Family addresses. Quickly resolved
- App unresponsive on a particular WiFi network
Issue investigated since mid October that got fixed in a recent patch
- Unable to Download Podcast Episodes on Android Devices
Issue where podcasts episodes would get stuck and take a very long time to download. Fixed backstage within a matter of days
- Downtime November 18, 2025: Users unable to subscribe to Spotify
Brief outage where users were unable to finish the subscription process. Resolved the same day
- Search in "Add to playlist" menu not working
Widespread issue that began in late October where searching within the "Add to playlist" menu would cause the app to become unresponsive. Fixed with a recent update
- Unable to create Blends or accept invitations
Issue where Blends weren't working properly, similar to an issue from last month. Resolved within a few days
- Downtime 11.25: Account profile page fails to load
Issue where the account page would return an error. Resolved later the same day.
UNDER INVESTIGATION
- Users on Android devices can't play content in Offline mode
Issue where a "You're offline" message would appear in offline/airplane mode for Android users. We're still looking into this and gathering info from users.
- Spotify charts not updating
We're still looking into why chart data is not being displayed and updated properly.
- Shuffle not working on iOS
Users have reported that Shuffle isn't working on iOS. Nothing happens when you tap on the Shuffle icon - only Smart Shuffle seems to work. We're still investigating and gathering further info.
- Podcasts Following list in reverse order
Issue where the podcast feed is displayed in the wrong order. We have identified the root cause and this will be fixed in an upcoming version.
- Equalizer issues
Various issues related to the equalizer on different devices. We're still looking into this one.
- Music continues playing on mobile after disconnecting Bluetooth
Issue where the music isn't automatically paused when disconnecting Bluetooth, mainly on car systems. This seems to be resolved for most! Keeping open to make sure it's properly fixed for everyone.
- Podcast episodes start over from the beginning on Android
Issue where podcast episodes get restarted on Android. We've identified the cause and this will be fixed in a future update.
- App is crashing when starting a podcast
Issue where podcasts are crashing the app on mobile devices. This should be fixed, keeping open to get confirmation from users.
- Multiple car infotainment systems not loading playlists (GMC; Chevrolet)
Issue where playlists don't load properly on car infotainment systems, most commonly from GM cars. We're looking into this.

External monitors disconnect when opening Spotify
Recurring issue where secondary monitors on desktop get disconnected when using the Spotify app. We weren't able to identify any common root cause and the issue seems to heavily depend on the setup used. We recommend checking out the pinned comments and trying the steps provided there.
