Enhance button not showing up!

My Question or Issue

The "Enhance" button is not available on any of my personal playlists.

Yes I am running the current version of Spotify (I even have newer updates since the September 2021 release date of the Enhance button, such as blends, Wrapped 2021, and lyrics under the songs) and iOS. No button.

Yes, I have tried restarting the app twice in a row, though "This may sound odd but it's how the app does a resync." There was no button.

Yes, I have tried logging out and back in from a different device. No button.

Yes, I have cleared the cache, offloaded the app, deleted it, turned off my phone, waited a few minutes, turned my phone back on, and redownloaded the app. There was no Enhance button.

YES, I have been in contact with tech support and - after giving me access to a test account - told me to check if there was an Enhance button. There WAS! So, I log back into my account. No Enhance button (even after creating a new playlist).

I am extremely frustrated. What is going on? I love Spotify and think the product is great. I want to se this feature as it would be extremely useful to me. I think it's ridiculous that seemingly no one knows what's going on or how we can fix it.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Hi everyone,

Enhance is being replaced by Smart Shuffle, so if you no longer have it on your end you most likely got the new feature instead. More info on how Smart Shuffle works here.

After months of nothing, there was a system update on my phone and it came
back about 2 weeks later. It's all random if you ask me

Same problem. 

It occasionally appears and I do have a playlist that was enhanced previously that IS still enhanced but I don’t see the button on any other playlists (existing or new).

I created a new playlist and added songs into it from other playlists, I was able to see the enhance button. I'm not able to see enhance on other's playlists I've favorited, radio, and made for you playlists. Seems you can only enhance a playlist that you can edit.

So I thought I had the same problem but I just realized that the enhance button is now called smart shuffle, so you click on the shuffle icon and then click smart shuffle. This shuffles your playlist while also throwing in some recommendations based on the songs on your playlist. You can just click through the ones recommended if you’re looking for new songs to add.

I just come back to say that about a month ago I had to renew the student plan, and when I did, the button came back.

Since the op also has a student plan, I imagine that's the problem.

Very interesting. I just switched over to a student plan and not long after is when I noticed the issue. I bet you’re on to the issue but if that’s the case I wonder why it’s only student plans.

It was possible to enhance the liked songs playlist for a week or so. This was the best feature I've seen so far and I heard a lot of positive feedback about it but it disappeared. The liked songs playlist is the easiest to use because of the one-click add and I personally put all my songs there so the enhance button gave me great varied propositions, which is something I loved. 

More generally, the playlist options are amazing but I think the liked songs should be considered as a classic playlist and have the same options as the others. But please at least bring back the enhance button there!

I've not seen the Enhanced button in months, nor this new "Smart shuffle" feature, only having shuffle. I have Premium through a family plan, so I should see these features. I have the latest version of Spotify and have tried restarting as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the application on both mobile and desktop.

After trying the million pointless solutions suggested by moderators in this thread, the enhance button suddenly appeared for me - and as unexpected as it showed up, it disappeared again. What's going on Spotify?

The enhanced button does not show up on my Windows 7 computer, however it does show on my latest Windows 10. It also does not show up on my Chromebook, but it does show up on my Apple Iphone.  Seems that they are working on it on multiple platforms. Just an FYI.

Happened to me aswell, after using the feature on my mobile then using the same feature on another device, in another playlist it eventually disappeared after returning to the app.

Same thing here. Please fix this wonky app. Smart Shuffle might be one of the worst features btw. At least don't remove enchance, it was helpful.

They removed the feature and has replaced it with smart shuffle. Im really annoyed to be honest. Can you help and vote my forum to bring back Enhanced please. Thanks.

I have a premium account and I too do not see enhance button for all of my playlists. I reinstalled app, clear cache and restarted mobile but nothing worked. Can someone please help me how to fix this or provide me Spotify support contact details.
