Issues & Recommendations
Hi,
I have a few issues I'd like to address and some ideas for improvements.
**Issues:**
1. Recommending albums or podcasts after I've already pressed "not interested" several times — it still shows up the same day or the next. It keeps coming up again and again. Once I press "not interested," that recommendation should disappear permanently.
2. When I play a song and add a playlist that's set to shuffle in the queue, it doesn’t shuffle; it plays in order.
3. When I give a low rating on a podcast, I think the algorithm shouldn’t recommend it again. It clearly means I’m not interested, so I shouldn’t see it anymore.
4. I’ve noticed that in playlists I’ve saved (not my own), when I hide or ban a song, the next time I play the playlist, it ignores the "hide" command and plays the song anyway.
5. If I listen to a podcast once (without saving it), it continues to show up in "new episodes" almost forever.
6. There are too many recommendations. When I want a recommendation, I’ll ask. Thank you.
**Suggestions:**
1. Podcasts with a video format should be more easily accessible.
2. Many podcasts separate their topics into distinct segments, not just by time stamps but with clear divisions between them. It would be great to save just the part I’m interested in, rather than the whole episode. The same goes for time-stamped sections.
3. Not every artist I save needs a separate spot in my library. It takes up too much space. I’d prefer to have a single "Artist" file where I can save the artists or albums I like, similar to how "Your Episodes" or "Liked Songs" are grouped.
4. Allow more pinning options in the library.
5. Sometimes the algorithm recommends songs for my playlist based on an artist or genre, but it misses the mark when it comes to these aspects:
- Whether it’s just vocals or just instrumental.
- If a playlist is geared toward a specific vibe (like summer or a festival), the recommendations should reflect that vibe.
Adding more filters and tags would make the recommendations smarter and more customized.
