Thank you so much for psoting this question! I have the same issue, had a co-worker/Spotify User try to help yet the issue still exists. Went Google searching and ended up here - I see this is just a problem that has no resolution, which is extremely frustrating! What was the purpose of creating my playlists if I can't listen to each track, one after the other? If you, or anyone, finds a solution PLEASE post it!

Maybe you could be specific? Are you having problems listening to music on your PC using the desktop client?

I'm using my desktop.I have a playlist I created and I have to click each song one after the another, it will not continuously play the track list.  Let me know if you need anymore details!

Thanks @FeliceElle . What operating system and spotify version (help/about and click version to copy it to clipboard) are you using?

Operatiing system? Sorry for the dumb question but do you mean am I using Windows? Then, yes 🙂

Spotify Version - 0.9.7.16g4b197456

Thanks!

Does this happen with all playlists? When you double-click a track then got to the Play Queue in the left-hand panel, does it ist all the other tracks from that playlist?

No, it doesn't.  I have to "queue" each track individually, then they will display in my PLAY QUEUE. But double-clicking does not work for me.

What do you mean by dopuble-clicking doesn't work? To have all the remaining tracks added to the play queue, click on a playlist name in the left panel then either double-click on a track name in the centre panel or right-click on it then select play. What happens if you do one of those?

That is exactly what I meant by dbl-clicking.  Neithe rof those options you mentioned works for me.

Thanks!

It will play the one track I click on but will not continue to play the entire playlist.  I hope I am explaining this to you so you understand - if not, please let me know!

Sounds like something may be wrong with your desktop client then. Could you try reinstalling spotify, following the instructions here.

Then I will lose all of my saved playlists and songs, right?

You will need to redownload any music you made available offline but your actual playlists and everything else will still be there as it is stored on spotify's servers.

Ok, I'm gonna give it a try!  Thank you!

OMG IT WORKED!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!!! If I could ((( hug ))) you I would!

That's terrific! Now you can enjoy your music 🙂

I'm on a desktop and my play list will not play continously.  It plays one song, maybe two and then stops.  There is a blue bar that reads" can't play current song."  I've tried to uninstall and reinstall and same issue.  Very frustrating when I want it to just play continuously.  If I can't get this fix, I'm going to cancel my premium subscription cuz this sucks.  Can you help?

Maybe try playing the Spotify "Relax & Unwind" playlist at  http://open.spotify.com/user/spotify/playlist/3InXOgDxJPeA05l6rQyDoe

All of the Spotify licenses should be "active" in that playlist.

Cheers!

I have the free version of spotify, and when I am listening to a playlist it will only play one song then I have to manually start the next song? This is really annoying. Any suggestions? I have tried redownloading, and turning of crossfade and gapless playback but hasn't helped.

They have not fixed my pay version so sorry I have no answer for you
because I'm still struggling with my playlist playing continuously. It
only happens on my desktop not on mobile devices. Annoying and
frustrated. I wouldn't pay until you get it resolved
