[MacOS] Skip track button not working

MacOS Catalina 10.15.5

 

The 'skip track' button (F9) does not work on the Spotify desktop app. 'Previous track' and 'play/pause' buttons work just fine. I reinstalled the app multiple times, does not help.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out to the Community. To answer your question, did you try to restart your computer? Sometimes it's a bug in the operating system or just the desktop app. Hope this helps.

Yes, of course I tried restarting the computer. Didn't help.

Hi There. Try several more of these steps below. If one doesn't work please go onto the next one, until you find one that has fixed your problem:

Step 1: Update the Spotify App to the latest version both of your devices
Step 2: Log out and log back into your Spotify Account
Step 3: Uninstall and Reinstall Spotify (Multiple Times)
Step 4: Restart your iMac Several of Times

The last thing you can try is to Clean Reinstall. Link is below:

It might be more effective than just uninstalling and reinstalling the Spotify App, and give it a try. Hope this helps.
