Description
Facebook friends won't load. It's says "There are no more people to show at this time.", however, it has never showed me anyone. I know of at least 30 of my friends that are on Spotify.
A more detailed description, using numbered steps
1. First I downloaded Spotify.
2. Then I saw that FB friends weren't showing, so I looked up solutions.
3. I am logged in with Facebook, so I know I'm connected. Checked the rest of my settings.
4. then I uninstalled Spotify and reinstalled it.
5. then opened it -- and there was no change.
6. and finally, two weeks later, I even upgraded to the newest version. STILL NO CHANGE.
What I expected to happen
I expected Spotify to work as described.
What actually happened
Facebook friends doesn't work (follow).
My Operating System
(From the Apple menu, select About This Mac)
OS X 10.7.5
My Spotify version
0.9.1
My internet provider and country
Frontier, USA
My username
1278052691
Do you have any screenshots you can attach to more clearly explain your issue?
Solved! Go to Solution.
That worked for me! I did this from my Mac:
- go to Facebook in the apps section
- click the the "X" next to Spotify
- quit and restart Spotify
- log in using Facebook and authorize Spotify
- go to Follow in Spotify and my friends appeared.
Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂
Are you connecting via a company network, proxy or VPN that might be preventing Spotify from pulling that data from Facebook?

No.
I'm thinking this might need a little bit more digging by the Spotify team. If you get in touch with them directly using the online contact form their technical support team will be able to investigate what is going on here a little closer for you.
If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you. I'll do that.
Is your Spotify activity appearing in your Facebook activity log? If not its likely that your Spotify software is not associated with the correct Facebook account.
I was able to post a recommendation on Facebook, if that's what you mean. I also went and listened to something and checked my FB, and that activity showed up. Plus, I use my FB account to sign in to Spotify, so I wouldn't be able to use it all if I weren't using the correct account.
Hello everyone. Spotify here. We're happy to let you know that we believe we've fixed this issue. Please let us know if you're still experiencing issue so we can take a look.
I am having this issue. I click on "Follow" on the left side, "Find Friends", and there is nothing there except a message saying "There are no more friends to show at this time."
@silentmouth Would you mind sharing a screen shot with us?
Can you try heading into Facebook > Account Settings > Apps > Spotify, and delete Spotify. Then try logging in again as normal. That'll hopefully refresh your Facebook connection and show up your friends.

I have the same problem here.
I saw my friend list when I installed Spotify, but now there is always that error message. I have tried all the mentioned solutions but none of them works for me.
I think it could be a nice idea to publish the staff solution when something is solved, DO NOT JUST SAY FIXED., cause other could have the same problem.
Regards.
Hi i have the same problem no facebook friends! how can i fix this
Ok this is the solution, I think it works.
1. Go to spotify and diconect Facebook, from the configuration, then logoff or close.
2. Go to Facebook/configuration/Aps, look for the spotify icon, and delete it.
3. Open spotify and logon with your spotify account - DO NOT USE THE FACEBOOK LOGIN
4. Go to the configuration menu, and use the Facebook integration button.
That should solve the problem.
If it solved the problem let me know it on twitter @moplin, that will make me happy.
Same problem here, still havent fixed it.
this didn't work for me, because i originally created my spotify account with facebook auth, i can't log in without facebook. i don't actually have a spotify username/password.
Here u go 🙂
