Add volume controller on Spotify player that's embeded on my website

My Question or Issue:

I have added a Spotify player onto my Wix website to play music along with my exercise videos. But the music plays too loudly and drowns out my voice in the video.

The player does not have a volume control.

I have adjusted my voice to the loudest setting on the video and changed the setting on Spotify to QUIET but the music is still too loud.

Does anyone know how to add a volume control onto the player, or know someone who can write code for it?

We hope you don’t mind us replying now as we just stumbled upon this thread. Currently there isn't a volume control for Spotify's embedded web player, however we're always open to new ideas 🙂 The best way to get yours noticed and considered is if you create an idea for it in the Community by going here - that way, other users will also be able to vote for it.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see how popular a certain idea is with our users and helps us constantly improve the app. You can learn more about it here.

I have tried but keep getting this error message when I try to post:

"This idea exchange requires at least one label for each idea."

I don't know how to fix this so it will post.

Thanks for getting back to us.

You can choose a label from the list on the right side Text Body where you enter the idea description. In this case we'd recommend that you select Web Player.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop and congratulations on posting your first idea!

The reason why it's under Idea Submissions is that our Community Moderators have yet to check if it follow the Idea Exchange guidelines. They will do so as soon as possible. If it does it will be moved to live Ideas and other users will be able to upvote it and add their support 🙂 If the idea gets enough votes, Spotify will check it out. You can read more about this process here.
