Hi there,
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Could you give us a bit more info on what's happening on your end? Does this occur on the Web Player as well? A short screen recording which captures the issue in action would be greatly appreciated.
It's worth installing Spotify from a different source to see if the issue would occur there as well: if you downloaded Spotify from our website, give the version from the Microsoft Store a try instead, and vice versa.
Keep us posted on this.

Hi Yordan --
I am having the same issue. It started about two weeks ago: Spotify (desktop AND mobile) both stop autoplay, even though autoplay is toggled on, on all my devices. Also, it will abruptly stop playing halfway through an album. If it does continue to autoplay, spotify stops putting out sound. It just scrolls through the autoplay songs with no sound.
I am on wifi, strong connection.
If I try it on my mobile device, it acts the same way.
There is no one else nearby who can accidentally take control of the devices or interrupt my listening.
I have rebooted all devices.
I have reinstalled Spotify on my desktop.
I attempted to upload a link to a screen cast recording, but it was denied. I can try again if needed.

Hey @pdrum,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
We appreciate all the info you've included in your post. This type of issue could be caused by different reasons, so to investigate this further, would you mind trying a different Wi-Fi connection to see if it makes any difference?
Also, we understand youโve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?
Lastly, it would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your devices - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hi OscarDC,
I followed your guidance, still no luck. Here were the results:
1) I tried playing through a different wifi connection (hotspot), and spotify behaved the same way. Autoplay did not work, albums will not continue playing.
2) I uninstalled, and reinstalled Spotify, twice, following the prompts. No luck there either.
3) I logged out, then logged in with a different user account, and it acted the same way.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop @pdrum!
Just to check, does this happen at any specific points? For example, only when connected to Bluetooth headphones or when using a speaker. Also, does this happen with just certain playlists or with all playlists?
Should this only happen when using speakers - there's currently an issue related to Echo devices which is being investigated by our tech folks. Feel free to have a look there, should it sound similar to what you're experiencing.
Keep us posted!
I am also having the same problem i tried reinstalling from the other sources too but still autoplay does not work even on web player , also checked on other devices which are on other networks still autoplay doesn't work.
Yes this occurs on the web player as well and I also tried reinstalling it from microsoft store, also tried it on different devices on different network still autoplay doesn't work.
Hey there @Hitanshu16,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
In this case, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your device to check if they can replicate this behavior with their account? This will help us understand if the issue is account-related.
On another note, sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening would come in handy. You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
Keep us posted.
