Can't reinstall Spotify (Error Code 18)

I'm having trouble with my application on my Windows 10 PC. I tried to run it about an hour ago, and it wouldn't respond. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but when I went to reinstall it I kept getting an error message that said Spotify was running in the background already and I needed to close the program before installing. I tried to figure out what was running it but couldn't figure it out. Tried the same steps again, didn't work and got the same message. I tried to uninstall iTunes, and that didn't help the cause at all. I even tried the separate setup program and that still gave me a similar error message. I don't really know what's going on and would love to figure it out since I am a Premium user and would like to put that status to good use. Thanks in advance!
