My Question or Issue
Since around early february, spotify has stopped working on my Desktop PC.
Neither the app, nor the online (browser) version work.
My account currently works normally both on my notebook and my Samsung S8+, and even on my Google Home device.
I tried connecting to another account from my Desktop PC, and I have the same issue:
The app opens normally, I get to login, and then when I click a song to play, the track bar goes like in the picture. The album miniature doesn't show, and instead it shows a basic CD icon. The song doesn't start, but in the meanwhile my other devices say that I'm currently playing that song on my PC.
Exact same thing happens on my PC in the browser version, with any account logged in.
I've already tried:
-Reading both PC's troubleshoots
-Restarting my PC
-Uninstalling and reinstalling
-Uninstalling and installing using the offline package
I'm currently paying for Premium, please help me!
Thanks in advance...

Hey there @_Oxy,
thanks for reaching out to the community !
This types of issues can also happen due to false updated or out dated system and drivers.
I'd suggest checking the Win update feature and your audio drivers or set up for updates as well.
Let me know how you did 😃
I forgot to mention I already updated my windows, and the audio driver for my soundcard are up to date.
The problem persists.
Shouldn't I have other audio problems on my pc, if that was the case?
Thanks for your answer and for your patience.
Hey there @_Oxy,
thanks for the quick update.
This sounds a bit odd.
Can you please try another small thing for me ?
Click "Settings" top right corner of you app screen, then scroll through it and cancel this three options:
- Hardware Acceleration
- Playback
- Autoplay
Close the Spotify app and restart it to see if it helps.
Let me know how you did 😃
I have now disabled the three of them, but nothing seems to change.
Hey @_Oxy, welcome to the Community.
