My Question or Issue

I recently re-install my whole system due to harddrive replacement.  I downloaded the desktop app and installed it. But after the installing process, the app would not pop-up as before. And even if I went to the file location and click the icon, nothing happened.

The webplayer is also not working. It either skips the song, or play the song for a couple seconds and stop. Webplayer also shows this error window.

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

 

I'd suggest a few small steps that might do the trick:

1. Remove Spotify

2. Log in your account page online and click "Sign Out Everywhere"

3. Run a registry fix software on your system

4. Clear cache and cookies on your browser

5. Run a cleaner software on your PC

6. Reinstall Spotify

I tried but it didnt really help. 

the desktop still could not be launched after reinstall.

And I notice that the webplayer is showing that there is some problem with the playback.

Sorry the steps didn't help.

As you mantioned a playback issue is accuring, please check this System Requirements article page to see that you're using the right up to date OS.

 

I'd suggest checking that all audio drivers/system drivers and devices are up to date before trying moving forward as this might cause Spotify from working proparly.
