My Question or Issue

Can I backup the offline music folder (or maybe every folder linked to the Spotify app) to a secondary drive so that when I reinstall Windows 10 I just move the folder back to the default location and then Spotify will recognize it again? I'm asking this because my offline music is just over 50GB and I'm on a very limited data plan and would hate to use another 50GB to return everything back to normal.

Hey there @N-ichola-z,

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here!

Currently there isn't a way to transfer offline files or move the folder location without the app having to resynch and download your songs. You can however submit an idea on our board, that requests this feature. This page has detailed instructions on how to do this.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what improvements our users would like to see and how many people support a specific idea. You can learn more about it here.

Hope you find this useful. Keep us posted if you have any questions.
